A Step by Step Guide To Drain Portable Washing Machine

Hence both fixes are simple if you are even just a little bit handy with tools. Now let’s make you learn that how you can drain the portable washing machine!

Step No #1:

At the beginning of the method, you have to, first of all, remove off the front panel screws. You have to start by unplugging the machine and emptying the water.

You do need to bail the water out of the tub, or you can even think about to drain the tub using gravity by placing the drain hose on the floor near the drain or in a bucket.

You do need to clamp the hose to prevent any remaining water from running out. Once the washer is empty, then you do need to support the front of it on paint cans or stacked 2x4s.

As you will remove the panel, you will see the pump.

Step No #2:

Now you have to unplug the washer. After it, you have to prop up the machine and remove the two screws that secure the front panel.

Step No #3:

Now its time to pull the lower edge of the panel outward and “unhook” the top. In the portable washing machine, you do need to remove the entire shell to access the pump.

Step No #4:

Now look for the clog and pull it out. Here we would like to mention that the pump has a translucent housing. So at that point, you will view the offending piece of clothing wrapped up in the pump.

If you are not able to see the clog in the pump or the hose near the pump, then it could be stuck right into the outlet where the hose connects or join to the bottom side of the tub.

To search for it, you do need to loosen the clamp that holds the hose to the bottom of the container and then remove the hose.

You can even have a bucket and sponge handy to use it at best.  Any amount of water that left in the machine will run out. As you do locate the piece of clothing, pull it out with needle-nose pliers.

Step No #5

After it, you have to remove the hose. You have to remove the belt from the pulley on top of the bottom side of the pump.

If you do find that the clog is visible then pull it out. You have to twist the pulley to unwind the fabric as you pull it out.

Step No #6

If there is no such clogging the hose or pump, then the pump could be shot. Most of the times you will hear the noise from a bad pump. It will start off to leak if you don’t replace it right away.

Step No #7

If the impeller inside the pump is damaged or also in the condition if the pump leaks or makes noise, then you should replace it. You can often consider removing the three screws that hold the pump to the washer. You can also think about to buy a new pump and install it.

Some of the primary ingredients that required for the draining of portable washing machine are as follow up:

  • 4-in-1 screwdriver
  • Clamps
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Nut driver

Well, there are so many methods that do play an important role when it comes to the draining of the portable washing machine.

There is a big difference in draining the portable washing machine and the draining the portable washers into a bathroom or kitchen sink.

You do need to use the caution to make sure the sink can hold and hence do drain the amount of water pumped from the washer.

Conclusion – Wrapping It Up
