Comme des Garçons Fall 2012
Since the spring of 2011, The Generic Man has been honored to team up with the unparalleled Japanese fashion label, Comme des Garçons SHIRT, to produce an array of shoes that highlight the aesthetics and styles of both companies. For its fourth collaborative collection, the label has turned away from the bright and colorful mood of the previous offering, embracing instead a more reserved yet debonair and sophisticated look injected with pops of aquatic tones.
The three models included seamlessly merge high-end, tailored techniques and materials with casual wearability and functionality. First is the Wellington, an understated black suede lace-up plimsoll with grosgrain trimming that comes in both seafoam (for those who seek a little more flare) and a muted turquoise (for those requiring additional subtlety). Next is the Montreux, a slightly more traditional lace-up sneaker, also in black suede with a half moon tab at the front and a burst of the same muted turquoise on the suede heel patch. Finally, the Wingman ties everything up. The black leather and canvas upper makes it a versatile model while the seafoam vibram sole gives it an edgy twist that the label is known for.Available at select Comme des Garçons retailers internationally.See additional photos here
